Afghan cuisine with chef Maria
This is DAY ONE of a two day event.
We are consistently trying to offer cuisine not readily available in Humboldt. Fortunately for us, chef Maria had this idea!
Maria grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. When many Afghanis migrated to Pakistan, they brought their culture and recipes with them.
Maria grew up enjoying this type of cuisine, which she describes as less spicy than traditional Pakistani food. That means she loves to make it at home for family and especially her daughter Eliana! Afghan cuisine is rich, with lots of seasonings, refreshing yogurt and nuts. This cuisine often features lamb or beef, but per usual all of our chefs offer vegetarian and vegan options as well.
Chef Maria has been perfecting her recipes and looks forward to sharing them with our community! Join us!
